Opened in 1989 and designed by the Bulgarian husband-and-wife architects Kuno and Stanka Dundakov of Technoexportstroy: a shell roof inspired by the Sydney Opera House, a flying-saucer inspectors' booth and four concrete prongs shading the bays. It is a protected modern heritage site and still the city's main terminal; many residents name it one of their favourite buildings.
