West Berlin's 1957 Interbau answer to the Stalinallee: 53 architects from 13 countries, including Gropius, Niemeyer and Aalto, built housing loosely set among the trees of the Tiergarten. It is a walk through postwar modernism that most visitors to the nearby Siegessäule never take.
