A tiny cake shop near the Bálna opened in 2021 by János 'Gianni' Hegedűs, a former chef and restaurant manager, who bakes home-style Hungarian sweets that sell out fast: rétes, flódni, zserbó, biscuits and brownies, plus pogácsa. In carnival season locals queue for his split doughnuts filled with blueberry-vanilla or coffee-caramel cream.
