The first permanent bridge over the Danube in Hungary, opened in 1849 and designed by William Tierney Clark. Blown up in January 1945, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1949.

- After the 2021-2023 renovation the bridge is closed to private cars, so it is a calm walk between Pest and the funicular (Wikipedia).
- The funicular to Buda Castle starts at the Buda end, on Clark Ádám tér.
