Budapest's second most important cemetery, opened in 1894 on hillside slopes that locals had wanted as a holiday area. It is wooded and hilly, and squirrels, deer and foxes come in from the forest. Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Sándor Weöres are buried here, and Imre Makovecz rebuilt the mortuary chapel with ancient Hungarian motifs.
