A small synagogue of Buda's medieval Jewish street, used until September 1686, when the Christian armies retaking Buda from the Ottomans massacred the Jews sheltering in the larger synagogue across the street and burned it. Painted 16th and 17th-century figures survive on the vault, and old Jewish tombstones line the room.
