A tinsmith's workshop that has made Lisbon's lanterns since the late 18th century (registered in 1810), now run by Margarida Gamito, the seventh generation and the first woman in charge. Evicted from its famous shop on Rua da Misericórdia in 2015, it survived by moving into the restored Bairro Alto market, now the Mercado dos Ofícios, where brass and tin are still cut and soldered by hand.
