One of the Magnificent Seven (1840) and the only London cemetery that is Crown property, run by the Royal Parks. A colonnaded Great Circle frames the avenue to the chapel; Emmeline Pankhurst and Dr John Snow, who proved cholera spreads through water, are buried here. Beatrix Potter lived nearby and may have taken names like Nutkins and Peter Rabbett from its headstones.
