The most famous of London's 'Magnificent Seven' Victorian cemeteries, opened in 1839. The wooded West side has the Egyptian Avenue and the Circle of Lebanon catacombs; on the East side lie Karl Marx (his tomb is Grade I listed) and, on the West, George Michael.
