A grand 1820s corner pub on Commercial Road, run by artist Pauline Forster, who has fought off developers for years. Since 2004 it has been one of east London's best rooms for new bands; on one wall three big Victorian tiled panels show the pub as it was in 'Ye Olden Time'.
