The Kernel, founded in 2009 by Evin O'Riordain, was the first brewery under the Bermondsey railway arches and started the Beer Mile. Since August 2024 its bar has been a big, airy room on Spa Road with 25 keg taps and 2 handpumps and a Japanese kitchen.
