The Smithsonian's design museum lives in Andrew Carnegie's mansion on Museum Mile, so you see wallpaper, furniture and typography in the rooms of a Gilded Age palace. The Immersion Room projects the museum's wallpaper collection onto its walls, and the garden was redesigned by Walter Hood in 2015.
