The only Romaniote synagogue in the Western Hemisphere, built in 1927 by Greek Jews from Ioannina whose tradition is older than both Sephardic and Ashkenazi Judaism. The women's gallery upstairs is a small museum of Greek Jewish life and of the Holocaust in Greece.
