The fountain at the heart of Monti, designed by Giacomo della Porta and named after the nearby 17th-century Collegio dei Neofiti or Catecumeni; the steps around it were levelled in 1595. The octagonal basin with four grotesque masks fills the small square at the centre of the rione.
