Rome's slaughterhouse, built in 1888 to designs by Gioacchino Ersoch at the foot of Monte dei Cocci, now a centre for contemporary art and performance shared with the architecture faculty and the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio. It hosts Romaeuropa Festival events and exhibitions in the old animal pavilions.
