Stefano Nicolao opened his tailoring workshop in 1980 and has since produced more than 50,000 period costumes for opera houses, Hollywood films and the Carnival. Venetians rent their Carnival costume here instead of buying a cheap one; the atelier sits on the Misericordia among the bacari.
