The Capuchin friars' walled kitchen garden behind Palladio's Redentore church, closed to outsiders for centuries and opened after a restoration by the Venice Gardens Foundation (the team behind the Giardini Reali). About 2,500 plants, olive groves and medicinal herbs, a 400-metre chestnut pergola with wisteria and roses, a lily pond, and a café on the lagoon run by Illy that cooks with the garden's produce.
