Mauro Codussi's last church (begun 1497), a compact Greek cross squeezed into the lanes behind the Rialto. Inside are two great altarpieces in their original places: Sebastiano del Piombo's St John Chrysostom Enthroned on the high altar and Giovanni Bellini's late altarpiece of St Jerome with St Christopher, signed and dated 1513, painted when he was over 80.
