A gondola boatyard founded in 1884 by Domenico Tramontin, who reshaped the gondola so that one gondolier could steer it alone; after Roberto Tramontin died in 2018 his daughters Elena and Elisabetta took over and still build and restore gondolas by hand. Each gondola is signed on the caenèa, a wooden piece at the stern. Unlike San Trovaso, which you only see across the canal, here you can step inside with the family.

Good to know
- Book ahead: visits are by appointment, guided by Elena while Elisabetta works on a hull.
- It is a working yard, not a show; come with questions about the asymmetric hull and the wood.
- The Zattere and San Trovaso are a short walk away.
