The mother church of Abu Dhabi's Malayali Orthodox Christians: the parish began in 1968, Sheikh Zayed laid the foundation stone of its first church in Khalidiya in 1970, and the community itself paid for the new Dh25 million cathedral in Mushrif, built after the old one was demolished in 2022 (The National). Some 6,000 worshippers come to weekly services.
