Opened in 1903 as the last municipal bathhouse, it is the only public bathhouse in the Netherlands still in use, run by volunteers, with a simple, cheap sauna and a leafy garden. Neighbours from Oud-West come for an evening sauna and a chat; people without their own shower still come in the mornings.
