A long strip of wetland, dykes and willow scrub between the Haarlemmerweg and Halfweg that the city calls its last wild nature, with Scottish Highlanders, goats, pine martens and bluethroats. West Amsterdammers walk and cycle it at weekends to get out of the city without leaving it.
