A herring kiosk on the Spui run by the Jonk family for about 30 years. Time Out used it to show 'haringhappen': locals hold the fillet by the tail and eat it in a few bites, and Amsterdammers who were brought here as children still come back for a broodje.

Good to know
- Order the broodje haring (herring on a soft roll), the stall's own speciality, or a zalm broodje if raw fish is not for you.
- Hollandse Nieuwe (new-season herring) usually arrives in mid-June; outside the season the herring is from the previous catch.
