Antalya's network is run by the metropolitan municipality and its company Antalya Ulaşım A.Ş.: the AntRay tram lines, municipal buses and private public buses (halk otobüsü), all paid with Antalyakart. There is no metro. For visitors the backbone is the T1 tram (Fatih-Otogar-Meydan, with branches to the airport T1A, Expo T1B and Aksu T1C), the T3 tram (Varsak-Upper Düden-Otogar/Batıgar-Meltem-Müze for the Antalya Museum and Konyaaltı), and buses to the beaches and the airport. The 1957 nostalgic tram along the seafront (T2 Zerdalilik-Kaleiçi-Müze) has been suspended since summer 2026; buses run on its route. Kaleiçi itself is walking only. Fares are flat inside the city; transfers on Antalyakart are free within an hour (two hours between tram lines).
Paying: Antalyakart (plus contactless bank cards and the Mobil Antalyakart phone card on Android)
How to buy
Buy an anonymous 'Tam Kart' (100 TL card fee, shareable, transfers allowed) from a card sales and top-up machine (kart satış ve dolum cihazı), a kiosk dealer (bayi) or a card centre, then load cash at the same machines or dealers. Machines stand at both airport terminals (international terminal tram stop and opposite the domestic bus stop), at the otogar, and at most tram stops (İsmetpaşa, Muratpaşa, Üç Kapılar, Konyaaltı Kent Meydanı, Cumhuriyet Meydanı and more). Card centres: Batıgar (next to the otogar, Batıgar tram stop) and Doğu Garajı (Muratpaşa), weekdays 08:30-12:30 and 13:00-18:00, Saturday 08:30-12:00. Dealers load cash only and may not charge commission. Online top-ups (website or app) only reach the card the next time you tap it on a bus or tram reader. A 'Kullan At' throwaway card is sold for 2 or 5 rides (no top-up, no transfers). Any contactless bank card can be tapped on all readers, but at a higher fare and with no transfer. Android phones with NFC can buy a Mobil Antalyakart in the app (19 TL); it does not work on iPhones.
Fares
From 23 March 2026 (Antalya metropolitan council decision of March 2026): full single ride on Antalyakart 42.00 TL; teacher/retired 40.00 TL; student 20.00 TL; Kullan At card 46.00 TL per ride (2-ride card 112 TL, 5-ride 250 TL); contactless bank card 50.00 TL per ride. Transfer on Antalyakart is free, once, between 5 minutes and 1 hour after the first tap; between different tram lines free from 5 minutes to 2 hours. No transfers on bank cards or Kullan At cards, between a line and its 'A' variant (e.g. VL13 and VL13A), on M-plated vehicles, terminal lines, or lines DC27, 500, 501, 514, 515, 515A. Card fees: Tam Kart 100 TL, personal card 200 TL, Kullan At 20 TL. Turkish citizens aged 65+ ride free; children under 7 ride free with a parent. Intercity-to-district coach fares from the otogar (official 2026 list, from 23 March 2026): Antalya-Kemer 170 TL, Antalya-Serik 170 TL, Antalya-Manavgat (for Side) 295 TL, Antalya-Alanya 410 TL, Antalya-Kaş 485 TL.
Lines and services
- TramAntRay T1A Fatih-Havalimanı (airport)
Fatih-Kepezaltı-Otogar-Dokuma-Çallı-Şarampol-Muratpaşa-İsmetpaşa-Doğu Garajı-Meydan-then east along the Aksu road to Yonca Kavşak, where T1A turns off to the airport (two stops: departing passengers, then arriving passengers at the international terminal). İsmetpaşa is the stop for Kalekapısı and Kaleiçi; Otogar and Batıgar for the intercity bus station. Only the international terminal side is served by tram; city buses serve all terminals.
- TramAntRay T1B Fatih-Expo and T1C Fatih-Aksu
Same trunk as T1A to Yonca Kavşak, then straight on via Pınarlı Anfaş and Kurşunlu to Aksu (T1C terminus, nearest stop to Perge; Kurşunlu for the Kurşunlu waterfall) and Expo (T1B, the ANFAŞ/Expo grounds).
- TramAntRay T3 Varsak-Müze
North-south line: Varsak-Şelale (Upper Düden Falls)-Kepez Belediye-Batıgar (change to T1 / otogar)-Kültür-Akdeniz Üniversitesi-Meltem-Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi-Müze (Antalya Museum, short walk to the east end of Konyaaltı beach). The handiest tram for Upper Düden and the museum.
- TramNostalgic tram T2 Zerdalilik-Müze (suspended)
The 1957 tram along the seafront (Zerdalilik-Işıklar-Belediye-Üç Kapılar-Kale Kapısı-Cumhuriyet Meydanı-Selekler-Müze) stopped after technical faults and accidents in June/July 2026. The municipality says the line will not be removed and buses run on the same route meanwhile; no restart date was announced as of October 2026. When it runs, you pay again at each end of the line.
- BusMunicipal and private public buses
Dense network run by the metropolitan municipality (black-plate buses), Antalya Ulaşım and private 'halk otobüsü' operators; all take Antalyakart or a contactless bank card, not cash. Lines carry letter-number codes (for example VL13; an 'A' suffix marks a variant route). Live bus positions, stop departures and a trip planner are in the Antalyakart app. City lines 400 (Sarısu-Konyaaltı-centre-airport), 600 (otogar-centre-airport) and 800 (Lara-airport) serve all airport terminals.
- BusIntercity and district coaches (Antalya Otogarı)
The intercity bus terminal (Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali) is about 4 km north of the centre, at the Otogar/Batıgar tram stops. Coaches and minibuses leave here for Aspendos/Serik, Side-Manavgat and Alanya, and long-distance buses for the rest of Türkiye. Minibuses to Kemer leave from the Kemer bus stop on the west side of the centre (per the airport operator). Official 2026 fares: Kemer 170 TL, Serik 170 TL, Manavgat 295 TL, Alanya 410 TL, Kaş 485 TL.
- FunicularTünektepe cable car (closed)
Cable car from Sarısu at the west end of Konyaaltı up Tünek Tepe (618 m), about 15 minutes each way. A support pillar collapsed in April 2024 with one death; its ticket site says rides are not running and the line is closed for maintenance (October 2026).
- TaxiYellow taxis
Metered. The metropolitan council set a new tariff from 23 March 2026 with separate 'centre' (Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı, Aksu) and 'outer district' rates and a minimum short-trip fare (indi-bindi); press reports disagree on the centre per-km rate, so we give no figures. At the airport, ranks are in front of each terminal's arrivals exit, drivers carry airport ID cards and a fare board stands next to the rank.

Good to know
- Get a 100 TL Tam Kart at the airport machine if you will ride more than a few times: each bank-card tap costs 50 TL with no transfer, against 42 TL and a free transfer within an hour on Antalyakart.
- One Tam Kart can pay for several people (tap once per person), but the free transfer is lost if you tap the same card again within 5 minutes; for a group, consider one card each.
- After an online top-up, the money only lands on the card at your next tap on a bus or tram reader; some machines and buses ask you to press 'online dolum' first.
- Never pay a dealer commission for loading the card; report it to 0242 606 07 07.
- The nostalgic seafront tram is suspended (since summer 2026); plan Kaleiçi-Museum-Konyaaltı trips by the replacement bus or on foot.
- Upper Düden Falls takes Antalyakart at its entry turnstiles.
- Trams stop in storms: on 14 October 2026 all tram lines stopped for a few hours because of bad weather. Check the notices on antalyaulasim.com.tr.
- Folding bikes in a bag ride the tram at any time; full-size bikes only outside 07:00-09:30 and 16:00-20:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, all day Sunday. E-bikes, e-scooters in use and skateboards are not allowed.
- Public transport is free on some public holidays (e.g. 1 May, 15 July, 30 August and Kurban Bayramı in 2026); the Antalyakart site posts each one.
- Journey times in common trips are estimates from the network map, not timetables.
