One of the oldest Kneipen in Prenzlauer Berg: opened in 1913 by a housemaid with her lottery win as the Vahlenstein Destille, family-run ever since and called Metzer Eck since the end of the war. Dark wood, warm light and walls full of photos of regulars and famous guests; the Tagesspiegel marked its 100th birthday with a portrait series on Berlin's best Eckkneipen.
