   An old canal bridge where Kreuzbergers gather on sunny evenings for spontaneous music, dancing and conversation with strangers.

   Tue and Fri: graze the food stalls along the canal; 45 min.

   A canal-side weekly market with fresh vegetables, toys and Turkish and Arabic comfort food, where Kreuzberg and Neukölln families do their shopping.

   Browse and a coffee on Kottbusser Damm; 15 min.

   Bookshop and café stocking only female and queer authors in English, German and French, with readings and events.

   Potato gözleme or manti (closed Wed); 30 min.

   Turkish stuffed flatbreads (potato, sucuk and garlic, spinach, cheese) and manti dumplings with garlic yoghurt, the way Neukölln's Turkish families eat them.

   Fresh hummus on Sonnenallee, the Arabic high street; cash only; 30 min.

   Casual Lebanese canteen on Sonnenallee, the city's Arabic high street, with hummus made fresh daily and grilled meats.

   2-euro wrap near U8 Boddinstrasse; 10 min.

   Called 'Berlin's cheapest snack' by local writers: small falafel, shawarma or kafta wraps with pickles, yoghurt sauce, hummus and chili.

   Sunset drink on the car-park rooftop (seasonal).

   A rooftop oasis on top of a shopping-centre car park, with neon, plants and views to the TV Tower; it turns from café to bar to party through the evening.
