The architect Paul Hankar's own house, built in 1893 at the same time as Horta's Hotel Tassel; together they are counted as the first Art Nouveau buildings. Its facade broke with the symmetrical Beaux-Arts fronts of the street.

- Look for the sgraffito panels made by Hankar's friend Albert Ciamberlani, painted in tinted plaster
- Read the facade: the ground-floor bow window marked the living room, the small windows over the door the staircase, the large upper bay the studio
