The 1923 villa in leafy Pasarét where Bartók lived from 1932 to 1940 and wrote Mikrokosmos, the 5th and 6th string quartets and Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta; he left for America from here. The new "Bartók csendje" (Bartók's Silence) exhibition is about a composer of "barbaric" music who craved quiet.

- The former family rooms are now a small concert hall; an evening concert here is the most Budapest way to hear Bartók.
