The heart of Újlipótváros, opened in 1936 on the site of a parquet factory between the Danube and the modern multi-storey apartment houses of 20th-century Újlipótváros. Neighbours walk dogs and children among landscaped lawns and flower beds, and a memorial remembers Raoul Wallenberg, who protected many Jews in these very houses in 1944.
