Opened in 1932 as the City Mozi, the Toldi was the first cinema in Hungary to show 3D films in the early 1950s and was part of the club scene in the 1990s. Today it is a Budapest art cinema with film clubs, the Filmkarnevál and pre-premiere screenings.
