Budapest's first public park, created on Joseph II's order in 1785. About ten hectares of old trees between Rózsadomb and Kis-Sváb-hegy, used daily by Buda families. In summer the open-air stage from 1935 hosts theatre and concerts.

Good to know
- The lower station of tram 60, the cog-wheel line up to Széchenyi-hegy, is at the park edge.
- Look for the small Tom Thumb (Hüvelyk Matyi) statue and the Beethoven statue.
- The Jesus Heart church by Aladár Árkay, architect of the Fasor church, stands in the park.
