Seven floors in the old fermentation plant of the St James's Gate brewery tell the Guinness story, ending with a pint in the Gravity Bar and a 360-degree view over the city to the Wicklow Mountains and Phoenix Park. Since 2000 it has had over twenty million visitors and is the city's top tourist attraction. We include it as a must-see museum.

Good to know
- Book online in advance; it is Dublin's busiest attraction.
- At the Guinness Academy you learn the six-step pour (119.5 seconds) and get a certificate.
- Lonely Planet's local tip: the pint in the Gravity Bar is excellent, but the best Guinness comes with the atmosphere of a traditional pub.
