A Greek Orthodox monastery on Hristo Peak (93 m), the island's high point, where exiled Byzantine emperors such as Romanos IV Diogenes, blinded after Manzikert, spent their last days. The present katholikon and Saint Paraskevi chapel date from a 1722 rebuild by Chiot merchants.
