Rua do Arsenal was Lisbon's cod street with about eleven bacalhau shops; Pérola do Arsenal is one of only two left, where Icelandic salt cod is cut on a marble-topped table, wrapped in brown paper and tied with string for Lisboetas buying for the Christmas Eve consoada.
