The journalists' church: Wren's tiered steeple (1701-1703), the second tallest of his spires, is said to have inspired the tiered wedding cake. The Journalists' Altar remembers reporters killed bringing the news, and the crypt museum shows a Roman tessellated pavement of about AD 180 found behind the altar.
