Aimee Semple McPherson's 5,300-seat temple opened on 1 January 1923; its 125-foot dome was the largest in North America and it is counted as America's first megachurch. McPherson broadcast from here on KFSG radio from 1924, and her restored round parsonage next door is a time capsule of the evangelist's life.
