Chinatown Central Plaza

Monument

The pagoda-roofed heart of 'New Chinatown', which opened in 1938 after the original Chinatown was demolished for Union Station. Time Out named LA's Chinatown the fourth coolest neighbourhood in the world in 2026, and the plaza now mixes old curio shops and lanterns with new spots like Frank 'n' Frank's focaccia sandwiches.
