Opened in 1938 and the last of the bookstores that once lined Hollywood Boulevard, it holds more than 20,000 film and theatre books, 6,000 original posters and 500,000 movie photographs. Film people come for signings with directors and critics; tourists on the Walk of Fame outside rarely look in.
