Fans, umbrellas and walking sticks made the traditional way since the early 1800s, at Puerta del Sol 12 since 1858; the workshop on Mesonero Romanos made the fan Queen Letizia carried at her wedding. Madrileños still come here to repair an umbrella or buy a hand-painted abanico before summer.
