From this 550 m limestone headland above La Turbie, Monaco looks like a scale model: the port, the Rock and the towers, with the coast running from Italy to the Esterel. Monaco Tribune calls it one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the Côte d'Azur and rates the walk up from La Turbie among the best hikes near the Principality.

Good to know
- The hike starts at La Turbie town hall and follows Avenue Edwards Tuck, then the Route de la Tête de Chien: about 3 hours there and back, with 400 m of climbing. You can loop back on trails 604, 603 and 602.
- The old fort at the top is closed to the public; a short dirt path leads to the Rondo viewpoint.
- Visit Monaco suggests dawn, or dusk when the lights of Monaco-Ville come on. The path is stony and slippery.
