Former fisherman David Bispo and his wife Shirley Lima opened their boteco in the Chapéu Mangueira community in 2010 and became Comida di Buteco regulars, known for inventive petiscos such as the acarajé de jiló; the success led to a Copacabana branch in 2019.

Good to know
- Order the acarajé de jiló (stuffed with bacon, calabresa and beef) and the pé na favela cocktail.
- The original is up Ladeira Ary Barroso in Chapéu Mangueira (Leme); the UK FCDO advises visitors to avoid restaurants and bars inside favelas, so the Copacabana branch is the easy option.
- Copacabana branch opens in the evening and stays open late; closed Mondays.
