A hidden cluster of neocolonial houses reached by a narrow alley and a little bridge over the Rio Carioca, one of the few places where the river still runs in the open. Abandoned for decades, the houses were restored under INEPAC supervision and reopened in 2022 as the JO&JOE hotel, with a bar open to non-guests.
