The classic plane-tree citywalk of the former French Concession, as in the city's official citywalk guide: from Jiaotong University station to Soong Ching-ling's house and Hudec's 1924 Wukang Building, up Wukang Road past Ba Jin's house, then along the cafe and boutique strip of Anfu Road to Changshu Road station.
Best time: Weekday morning or late afternoon; weekends are packed with citywalkers photographing the Wukang Building.
