A new-style lilong built in 1928-1932 by the French-owned International Savings Society, a few minutes from Xintiandi but still everyday housing, with tailors and snack workshops at the entrance. Inside is the former home (1930-1936) of journalist and publisher Zou Taofen, a city-protected relic since 1959 and now a free memorial; painter Zhang Chongren also lived in the lane.
