A Shingon temple founded by the fifth shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi for his mother, which survived the wartime air raids. Its main hall is one of Tokyo's best examples of Genroku-era (1688-1703) architecture, and the Gekkoden, an early shoin-style hall brought from Mii-dera, is an Important Cultural Property.
