The classic Kamata black-water bath: two kuro-yu tubs, one cool and one around 44-45C, water so dark a dipped hand disappears. Upstairs is a big hall where bathers eat, drink beer and sing karaoke after the bath, ten minutes by Keikyu from Haneda.

Good to know
- Order the onsen kamameshi rice pot in the second-floor hall (JPY 1,200 in Feb 2024, Nippon.com) or Ota's shio-yakisoba.
- Buy your ticket at the machine in the lobby.
- If the water is too hot, ask the people in the tub before adding cold water; the association says doing it without asking causes trouble.
