Good to know
- At the incense burner, light a bundle, put the flame out by waving your hand (do not blow), and drop it in the burner; some people fan the smoke onto a sore shoulder or head for healing (japan-guide.com etiquette).
- The shops close around 17:00 but the grounds stay open: Time Out recommends coming at night, when the pagoda and hall are lit with the Skytree behind.
- The free deck of the Asakusa Culture and Tourist Information Center across the street gives one of the best views down Nakamise to the temple (Time Out).
