Shibamata Taishakuten Sando

柴又帝釈天参道

StreetLocal favourite

A 200 m temple approach from Keisei Shibamata station to Taishakuten, untouched by the wartime air raids, with wooden shops selling kusa dango and rice crackers. It is the home town of Tora-san in the Otoko wa Tsurai yo films, and the area is Tokyo's only Important Cultural Landscape, popular with older Japanese fans more than foreign visitors.
