Tokyo's wholesale fish and produce market since October 2018, when it took over from Tsukiji. From a glassed-in gallery you look down on the tuna auction, held roughly 5:30-6:30, and the restaurant area houses sushi counters that moved here from Tsukiji's inner market.

Good to know
- The gallery windows are free and need no booking; the lower observation deck right at the auction floor needs an advance application, made during a set period the month before (japan-guide.com).
- Arrive before 6:00 to see the tuna auction; check the market calendar, as many Wednesdays are closing days.
- There are 38 restaurants inside, plus about 70 shops in Uogashi Yokocho, and a free rooftop lawn with views of Rainbow Bridge (gotokyo.org).
