Aldo Trevisanello opened this frame workshop in 1959 a few steps from the Accademia; his children Filippo and Silvia still carve, gild and silver-leaf frames by hand, and Venetian museums use them to frame paintings. Silvia's bench faces one of the prettiest canals of Dorsoduro; most people walk by on the way to the Guggenheim.
